Two layers, one chain

This testnet is a full 1:1 snapshot of XPR Network running on PulseVM — the Antelope virtual machine deployed as an Avalanche subnet. There are two distinct validator concepts:

  • Block producers (the Producers page) — the imported XPR registrations and vote weights. This is the application / governance layer, carried over byte-for-byte from the snapshot.
  • Subnet validators (above) — the nodes that actually produce and finalize blocks via Avalanche consensus on Metal Blockchain. This is the consensus layer.

Today these layers are independent; aligning the producer set with the validator set (votes → validators) is part of the migration roadmap.
